West Pines Behavioral Hospital Staff

Tracie Caudill, MSN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Tracie brings over 20 years of behavioral health nursing experience and progressive leadership within the West Pines system, where she has served since 2004. She holds both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University.

Tracie’s passion for mental health nursing was born out of a deep commitment to supporting individuals facing addiction—a population she believes is too often overlooked or misunderstood. That early focus ignited a broader dedication to the full spectrum of mental health care. She views nursing as a calling to support healing not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Whether working with patients facing addiction, depression, trauma, or other behavioral health challenges, Tracie brings a lens of compassion, dignity, and hope to every interaction.

She is known for her hands-on, authentic leadership and is passionate about building strong, collaborative nursing teams. At West Pines, she has established key operational structures—such as the Nurse Staffing Committee and clinical leadership tiers—while implementing processes that enhance patient flow, compliance, and team performance.

Equally committed to mentoring the next generation of mental health nurses, Tracie finds purpose in helping them grow into confident, compassionate leaders. “At the end of the day, everything we do comes back to the patients,” she says. “When we support our nurses, we improve the care we deliver.”
